Critics have repeatedly focused on the political subtexts of the living dead films of George A. Romero, revealing, notably, how they reflect specific social concerns. In order to determine what makes the zombie movie and the figure of the zombie so productive of political readings, this article examines, first, the classic zombie movies influenced by voodoo lore, then Romero’s initial living dead trilogy (1968-1985), and finally some of the most successful films released in the 2000s. Od początku istnienia pierwszego audiowizualnego medium, jakim jest film, rozmowa stanowi część narracji, której adresatem jest widz. Słowa obecne w filmie to komunikaty, które dostarczają informacji o przedstawionym w nim świecie, wpływają na rozwój akcji i tworzą atmosferę scen. Despedazar un cuerpo: de una cierta tendencia en el cine de terror postmoderno

El presente texto analiza el corte que supuso en el cine de terror la película Psycho (Psicosis, A. Hitchcok, 1960). Por una parte, desde el punto de vista de la imaginería, desplazó las fuentes del terror hacia fennómenos de la realidad colindante en lugar de seguir en el fantástico romántico o de ciencia ficción; por otra parte, desde la perspectiva del régimen de visibilidad anunció el choque del ojo del espectador con el ejercicio de la violencia física ejercida sobre un cuerpo humano. Así pues, Psycho se mantiene en un momento de fractura del terror clásico americano, pero recurre al montaje allí donde los Splatter movies modernos se entregarían al voyeurismo sin contemplaciones.

Koulumaailmaan sijoittuvat ja sitä kuvaavat elokuvat ovat todella yleisiä, ja yleensä niissä keskeisessä roolissa on opettaja ja hänen toimintansa koulussa oppilaiden ja muiden kollegojen kanssa. Opettajat elokuvissa on aihe, jota on tutkittu aiemmin jonkin verran tosin melko yleisellä tasolla erittelemättä esimerkiksi eri sukupuolta edustavia opettajia. Elokuvissa esiintyviä opettajahahmoja on tutkittu jaottelemalla heidät hyviin ja huonoihin opettajiin sen perusteella, millaisiksi heidät kuvataan ja millaisia piirteitä heihin yhdistetään.
